Seriously starting to cringe.....

Hmmm, Where to start,.... All the non ///M models have z4 badges, together with engine size badges. I presume, to differentiate between the various models. BMW chose to identify the prestige models in the z3 and z4 range merely by M roadster and M Coupe , hence no z3 or z4 badges. no surprise really then that a lot of M and non M owners describe them as such. no different to a 3.0 owner describing his or her car as a 3 lite so as not to be confused or mistaken for a 2litre or a 2.5 litre or whatever. especially when enquiring or posting about a model specific problem or procedure. cant see much of a problem with it really, each to their own, live and let live etc etc . :driving:

///M ///M ///M

My sig pic must drive adamski insane but let's be fair doesn't take much these days

50% of this 14k posts are complaints about people making new posts about posts that have been done before :P

Lads - some of you are missing the point. I don't find anyone's signature annoying. I love the pics and details.

But. The signature tells me all about the car - so there's no need to repeat in every thread you participate in.

Not everyone does it. Search my posts. One mention in the last 13 months, and that was a "1 year of ownership" thread

Does it also annoy you when people refer to their car as a "Z" or "Z4", or "roadster" or "coupe"....surely that is also obvious and overstating? How about when they mention the colour / spec when that is evidenced by their signature, is that also overkill?

Come on Adam, tell us the real reason it annoys you?

Yes, missed by me, though to be fair perhaps because I've never come across the 'issue' you've raised.
I do spend pretty much all my time here in the ///M section though

One thing that is strange is how anybody mentioning an "M" needs to put "///" in front of it.

Why?

It's the ///M logo.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's the / / / M logo

Those colours aren't quite "pantone" correct - you'll be kicked out of the ///M club for that :P

M Stripe colours:
Pantone:
Blue — Pantone Process Blue
Purple — Pantone 268
Red — Pantone Warm Red

RGB:
Blue — 0 138 201 (Hex: 008AC9)
Purple — 43 17 90 (Hex: 2B115A)
Red — 241 26 34 (Hex: F11A22)

Also, the BMW colours are:

Blue (Pantone 293)
Grey (Pantone Cool Gray 10)
Silver (Pantone 877).

... so it's the ///M logo :poke:

...... i'll get me anorak now.....

Adamski.......as you have a big undue about people shouting out they drive an ///M suggest you modify your sig text.......

And just for good measure....I drive an ///M.....

Keep up mate :poke:

As I've said, nothing against signatures, pictures etc. If you search my posts since I got mine, you'll see I've mentioned the model designation once. That's one time in 13 months. And even then it was for a "1 year of ownership" thread.

It's people who mention it in every thread they participate in (*cough cough* - as you've just done :poke: ) that get on my goat.

Got it?
