Serious flaw in coupe boot area

Its getting to the point where a solution is needed .
friday i get home & take out the Zed with daughter , do a few errands ,fuel etc & pick up a few treats at supermarket.
this usually includes bread, cakes & a box of beer's for the daddy :D
so here's the flaw / how do you stop the box sliding around & squashing everything else in the boot ?
yes ive got the nets but they aren,t cake & bread friendly :D
seems like the carpet used is extra soft & shiny to assist with the sliding around of goods

BMW made a non-skid mat, the Coupe part number is 82129413180. This is a discontinued part, but you might still be able to get one through Jamie at Soper or another dealer (although the Roadster version is now sold out at BMW).

I managed to get a Roadster version on Ebay, it fits well and does stop things sliding around.

I have to confess to having a tartan rug in the boot

Great to have in case I ever get stuck in inclement weather, but folded up in the 'dip' in the floor it stops my briefcase sliding about, and unfolded or wrapped round shopping it stops damage. But I would love a rubber mat... They come up occasionally on eBay.

So do I, bought in Scotland on the last trip when Mrs PVR joined me in mummy form as it was a little chilly :D

Handy things my friend

Winter time will find a bag of sand, a short coal shovel, jersey, wellies, gloves, hat, scarf (all in there anyway), some water / juice and some munchies in the boot. Just in case. All a bit Andysat, but you never know :D

Lol I assumed this topic would be about the build up of water at the bottom of the glass!

Don't drive so fast? :o

Only joking if you drive a bit faster round each comer. Then you will be home faster. Thus giving said box off beer time to settle b4 drinking problem solved. Do you really care about the other stuff after you have enjoyed a box of beer?

choc muffins for son , new york cheese cake for daughter ,vanilla slice for mrs w  plus the eeeerrrrr , quiet now , . lilly's .
mrs w likes them  .
anti slip mat i shall be looking into or possibly a storage box with grips on the bottom ? just for friday's of course :)

I have about 3 ski jackets in my boot and a massive bottle of water for my OCD of breaking down in the middle of nowwhere at night..this is a cheap and easy way for you to buffer all your shopping items as works a treat for me!

i like all suggestions .
if i went in the van it would be no trouble
just lacking the buzz

They'll get stuck in deep snow though - I reckon 20cm would stop mine dead as I only have 11cm clearance under the front bumper :D

Didn't you know BMWs don't breakdown

OCD doesn't care about that!

Fair one Ruby

I am just glad I don't have OCD. I don't walk under ladders, I salute magpies, and I won't have the TV on an uneven number. Hang on a minute..................

simple solution, buy more beer so that it wedges the other thing in place and they don't have space to slide around....
