Sepang MC Anyone?

The only premium features are the colour and low mileage.

As mentioned it is low spec, has a horrid trim and is a private sale.

I think it's priced relatively fairly.

Yeah I suppose when you look at it, it seems about right. But I do still think that the ///M in general is getting quite cheap indeed.

I thnk I'd leave the seats alone - tbh I prefer Sepang with a dark interior. In terms of cost for the interior dash depends if you were wanting to go to BMW straight away for the parts or wait until one comes up on eBay - I reckon 300-400 eBay for a set and they are rare - dont know from a dealer but I'd guess double that figure. if you got the M for the right money it would be money well spent . As there are only 10 in the Uk this car is pretty rare.

Guiseley/jaRED had their dash and centre console professionally trimmed in leather for under £100 if I remember correctly. It looks superb and would be a much quicker and cheaper option than waiting for a carbon leather dash to turn up. What was the original owner of that coupe thinking handing over money for that trim though?!

These Sepang cars must have attracted some real wing nuts at purchase time.

Who in their right mind would put that interior in a car?

Face it OG, you're getting older and that wood trim is starting to look good, next up slippers and then a Jaguar :D

Oh good suggestion OG, can you get a child car seat in the rear :idunno:

I might get spurred for this comment, but here goes; a Z4 M without nav is particularly hard to sell in the first place unless it undercuts anything similar by at least £1000. This is something I noticed when buying mine and heated seats on the roadster have the same effect.

Not because it costs that much to fit, but because people can't be bothered to go to the effort.

It may ruin the dash lines, it may not be an amazing system... but on something like this people just seem to 'expect it'.

*2 guesses what extras mine has :D

The centre console was about 60, the dash would have been about 100 if it had just been one piece of leather. That's covering an Alu dash, not sure if you would have space to cover a wood one.

A roadster without heated seats is a definitive no, no.

Nav is subjective, I couldn't give a monkeys and it wouldn't put me off. We've had this conversation before :fuelfire:

I'd say it has undercut most things. A premium/ rare colour and <24,000 miles with full BMWSH I'd say it's very reasonable.

If this or similar is up for sale in July I would definitely be interested. If this had Nav and carbon leather dash I'd expect it closer to £17k or £17.5k

Heated seats were very high on my list.

Like Merrsh1, satnav if possible, but by no means a show stopper!

And you can tell which extras i have! :)

Is carbon leather dash really that desirable? I have it but if I'm honest I liked my two tone leather dash more...

No, OK, two tone leather dash is also very nice and most acceptable.

What I meant is that Wood/ Alu dash (at least for me) is deal breaker (unless the price is sufficiently adjusted/ marked to allow for rectification).

I'm with you there, that wood Is unbelievably fugly. I keep looking on auto trader and shaking my head, imagine what their house is like? Mock Tudor mdf panelling in the living room!

Mine was Sepang with Nav and Carbon leather with 3k less miles and genuine CSLs and was sold last year for £16500.

I'd say it was about right, I'd offer him £14750, look for a crashed ///M and salvage the trim, then install a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 as the Nav.
