Sepang Hell Bronze Metallic 48k Miles £21k

It's on an 06 plate and first registered 11/01/2007 - I've Checked with the DVLA -

AS56 would have looked like ASS! would you want a car with ASS in the number plate?

https://www.vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/

I have Checked with BMW and BMW UK and that was the plate assigned by the DVLA. The car was built September 06 however all confirm plate and first registration. No more info available from them as to why it's not on a 56 plate.

From the DVLA Website if you use the plate from one of the pics

Mine is a Sept-06 car and was on a 56 plate.

It's currently on a (older) 06 private plate though.

Car is for sale again. I have done approximately 7k miles in a year and need something bigger the family can enjoy. Open to serious offers.

I think you need to post a new FS thread with new pics and a price.

Evening, if Bing or Inkey see me having a sniff round this they'll understand.

After coming back, going away again for a bit in Europe tomorrow, could be tempted when I return if there's decent flexibility on price...

Is this car for sale? I have sent a private message already last week but no reply ...

Sent you the email addy of the guy who's selling it

Sorry to see this go, Ian - a pleasure meeting you a few years back and thanks once again for the last minute mini meet and GruppeM handover, still enjoying the noise!

I would also point out that with the options Ian has listed, this appears to be a far better spec'd Sepang than most I've seen for sale/at events. Most don't have PDC, let alone the rest of the spec!

Hi all,

So Sorry for going off the grid... I have been in the middle of a house sale and purchase then a move which was rather crazy and a last minute rush before xmas.

I did reply to a number of people... Sorry for those I missed... Some got buried in emails...

I'm free to talk about the car and take viewings etc. in the new year.....

apologies again for anyone waiting on my replies... I've recently had the car checked over by Brystone as there was a small oil leak on a timing chain cover I think they said. This was all sorted.. I am also booking the car in for new drive belts and a quote to do the bearing / shells..... so it will be totally refreshed in the new year.... I think shells / drive belts is around £1k which I consider to be good value for preventative maintenance.

I was told by Brystone that new bolts would be needed for the conrods... Anyone know if these are the same as fitted to the M3? BMW don't list replacement bolts.

I have 18G budget, if I could stretch I would be all over this car like a rash!

Sepang is my all time fave in the M Coupe!

Good luck in the sale!

Am looking at a Z4m potentially but what's the crack with bearing shells please guys? 40 odd k miles and talk of new bearing shells? Are they prone to breaking up?

There's a separate thread on here about them if you search, they can be prone to wear on the s54 engine & some people change them as a preventative measure

So, I ended up buying Ian’s MC a few years back, 1 of 10 in the U.K., the only RHD with Imola Red leather in the world.

With our house potentially being sold & looking at the prices of some of those we want to buy, there’s only a certain amount I can mortgage @ 55/6.

Make no mistake, I plan to do everything to keep hold of this beauty, as this is not an average car with minimalist servicing & history, nor has worn out seats or door sills / poor panel fitting, she’s had lots of love & preventative maintenance care lavished on her, both by me & Ian before.

So, am sharing there’s a tiny outside chance she might be up for grabs in the coming months, knowing that some (like I was) were after the one ///M specific colour that was available in metallic, although Ian has asked for 1st refusal to buy her back, inclusive of all the OEM parts which I’ve kept so can be converted 100% back to stock.

That’s gorgeous, I can see a few piggy banks being hastily raided to secure it should you decide to let it go.

Keep it if you can, it’s ace
