Sep 09: Welcome to the UK, Aebous! (Suffolk)

Yeah once the car gets there I'll for sure be pinging for the welcome to UK cruise. Until then I'd love to get a meet an greet if ya'll don't mind a passenger. I promise, no more than 2 jokes about driving on the wrong side of the road per mile.
 
I hope ya'll locked up the little ones, because as of 10:45am local time I was gear down in London.
Now I'm in my billeting room at RAF Lakenheath.
So if anyone wants to come o knockin....I'm here!

Pick a night and we'll see you by the gate. Hassle getting us in as you know. Not impossible, but v difficult as you've just been posted.

I remember what it was like in Germany signing nationals on....took a little while.

I was amazed I saw sunshine! I was expecting completely overcast skies and a drizzling rain. Pleasant sight seeing only a few clouds....wish I could of been in the Z :thumbsup:
I don't know what I'll be doing this weekend, if ya'll want to meet up I'll PM my number for my room.

Most of the fellers at work are telling me it's not worth it to use an Iphone here in the UK, so it looks like I'll be talking to o2 or whomever myself.

Not sure what you mean by not worth it to use an iphone in the UK? Do you mean with your US SIM card? If so then I would agree. Depending on how long you will be here for pay as you go may be the best bet, or try and get an iphone pay as you go sim off ebay, they give you 12 months free data.

Well here I am, the car just arrived, and from what I'm told we are rapidly running out of decent daylight before winter.

It was my hope to be in the new house and be able to have an after cruise party/hoorah but that may have to wait.
The only upcoming major things for me is to get the car's light converted & MOT (I have roughly 28 days).

So when do ya'll want to do a cruise?
 
Crap. I've dropped the ball here.

I guess we're going to have to forgo the driving option and just hook up for a meal and banter.

What's your availability like over weekends?
 
Those dates seem great. Most of my weekends should be open coming up as everything is starting to get squared away. Halloween weekend I'll be at a party....no costume though. Can't decide on anything. Maybe I'll just a wig and go somewhere's as a hairdresser :?
 
Aebous, drove past your place (lakenheath) last weekend. was off for an autumn stroll round Thetford forest with the lady.

Although i am not too vocal on here if something is on for the weekend of 14 /15 i'd be up for a drive over or just a 'hi' as you are only 45 mins away.
