Semi Auto Gearbox E89

Hi everyone,

Is there such a thing as resetting the gearbox.

As my gears change so quickly, making it feel sluggish, i guess thats why my MPG is down as

im always hard on the accelerator.

lol thanks but yes that did make me smile, or drive it manually which i have been doing...

sure it can't go into 5th gear at 35mph.. in auto .

Not the same as mines an e85 auto, but certainly doesn’t go into 5th at that speed.
I leave mine in drive if I’m feeling chilled, manual is a lot more involving, and sport if you wanna get a wriggle on.

On a serious note, you can reset the throttle response, not sure of the way to it on an E89 (I did it on my E85 from a thread on here), im sure someone here will be able to help, or start a new thread with a different heading and you will get your answer, maybe --- How to Reset Throttle Response On E89

Mine goes into 7th at 45mph. Comfort mode will be sluggish as it’s meant for city driving.

I’m fairly sure mine would happily go in to 5th at 35mph (equivalent of 4th in a 6 speed box).
