Selling Z4

I have a 2005 3.0 Z4 ragtop. I have been trying to sell it for a couple of months now. The car seems comparably priced compared with other cars with similar mileage, options and age but I have had one phone call over a 3 month period. Is anyone else experiencing the same. I need to sell as I am opting out of my company car scheme and want a 330d msport. Just can't understand why no calls. Is the market place that bad

The colour is olive 60K miles Sat Nav, Blue tooth, Xenons FSH from BMW, Car is in really good nick has a 2 inch scratch on the front wing a small scuff 1 inch on 1 alloy other than that mint. Car is in Gloucestershire priced at £6500 was higher but has been reduced. I love the car and if I wasn't opting out from the company car would be keeping it. I want to make sure I have a good car if I have to give up the toy.

Hhhmmm ? i suspect the colour is very much against you even though i think it is far from the "GREEN" you have it described as in bold letters on the advert ?
The pics themselves don't show the car to its best potential & both those points mean the price won't tempt a buyer , jmo of course
On the plus side it sounds well maintained mechanically , decent extras & the mileage is favourable so its not a complete no-no for a potential buyer

The official colour is classed as green though, but looks very much like Sterling Grey with a greenish - tint.

What does 5+ owners mean?
 
I think I saw this advert as I'm in the market... for me the photos are pretty poor. They are elongated and against the mountains of other zed adverts it doesn't do the car justice.

Take it to a nice spot, take about 10 steps further back (!) and get about 50 shots. Use the best 10 and you should hopefully see it sail away quite quickly. It's a car people want to appreciate for it's aesthetic appeal and the photos let it down badly.

Just my £0.02.
 
I expect the colour combo may put a few people off, its a bit marmite.

Maybe the wheels will put some buyers off too, they aren't the best looking wheels and there will be alot of other cars with 18inch wheels that stand out a bit more.

It sounds like its mechanically sound which is a plus point.

If you drop the price to £5995 i expect it may shift a bit faster.

Have to agree with the comments regarding the photos, these are very poor - the angles you have taken the pictures from are all wrong, the picture of the rear side makes the wheel look tiny. You need to lower the angle by squatting down and standing further back - as though you were in another car looking at it. Good photos and lots of them will give you a fighting chance at selling.

I recently sold my z3 , and was in a similar predicament. I removed the 5+ owners, reworded ad generally
and altered the photos, The following day I had 1 x phone call and sold it !!!
