Selling my heavily modified Alpina!

The time has finally come to move on and my beloved Alpina has to go to a new home. I don't have time to write a full spec list or take photo's at the moment but I will add them soon. This car is Sterling Grey with the Lux pack which includes every optional extra, it has covered 54k miles and is in excellent condition. It has over £12000 worth of mods and comes with a massive spares package and 90% of the parts required to return to standard. You could if you wish fit the standard stuff and make a fortune selling the mods, I considered it but time is my main problem.

Anyway, I will write a full spec list this week and add pics but needless to say this car is the dogs dangly bits. These cars are still fetching £17-£19k bog standard! Any questions or if you want to make an offer just send me a PM.

I'll still hang around the forum and I'm always be happy to help with any setup/parts questions anyone wants help with and thanks to everyone for putting up with my rants about suspension bushes and brakes etc!

Hi curtis

I own a Roadster S to. Mine is a Black Lux model with red interior, sorry to hear your selling yours although i dont think you will have any trouble as they appear to be selling quite well. I would love to know what mods you have carried out, might give me some ideas. Presently mine is standard.

Hi Curtis,
Sorry to see the Zed is being moved on. Look forward to reading the final full spec. and how you get on selling it and of course what you're moving on to.
Frankly I'd not sell anything separate, until the main sale deal is clinched.

Yatton is about 15 miles south of Bristol and it just so happens I have a spare Alpina front bumper and spoiler but it's badly chipped and needs a respray.

As far as I can remember here's the mod list.

There's probably numerous other parts that I've forgotten about but I'll mention them when my memory clears!

Spares are numerous but include OEM rear axle, brakes, hubs, suspension, coils, etc and they were all removed at 15k miles. The only major thing missing is the original rims.

I probably have some spare oil filters, coil springs, pads, etc etc kicking around too but I'll really have to dig around to see what's there.

Standard equipment includes sat nav ( with the most recent update discs ), bluetooth, elec heated, memory seats, cupholders, Alpina wind deflector, cruise, multi CD and what not.

The car sit's very low and could probably do with being raised by 15mm or so for best all round use but that's entirely up to the new owner.

Now for the bad points!

A few stone chips at the front, a small dent on the passenger door but it's hardly visable and a mark on the drivers seat, the front tyres are getting low. In it's very early days this car had a front end accident and was listed as Cat D. I don't know why as the damage wasn't much more than headlights, front panel, radiator, bonnet and a wing. Anyway, the price will reflect this fact.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will add any mods to the list as and when I remember them! There will be more than I've listed and the spares package will also be more substantial but like I said I'll have to dig around.

As you would expect this car has been serviced and maintained very regularly using only the best lubricants and parts. Other than a few warranty issues in the early days it has never given me any trouble except for the odd panel rattle.

I'll try to get some decent pics and post them during the week.

The handling characteristics are amazing and it attracts attention wherever it goes. It sounds superb, it's very unique and it makes you smile every time you go out in it. What more can I say?!

Ya baby!!!

would you happen to know where you can buy the rear spoiler separately? I've been having a hard time trying to find it online. Thanks!

From here in the UK but you're in the US so dunno, maybe get one shipped over :idunno:

That's where I had mine shipped from to Canada. $320.US shipping cost and UPS still found a way to damage the box big time!

As for after sales service/help from bmwmstyle.co.uk: FORGET IT!

I'm maybe interested in the original backbox (if you end up selling it, or even have it)

Maybe the oem front brakes (again, if they don't go back on) if they are the 330Ci spec ones.

And the spare new gearbox oil if you are selling that seperately at a good price :)

Good luck with the sale of the car, it looks stunning! :D

Lovely spec on the car - wow could even be tempted by it.

Category 'D' though in it's history. Very odd that it suffered that fate and if early in its life must have been some shunt??

So how much are you actually asking for it?

Sorry but I don't have the original exhaust anymore, it was taking up space and at the time I saw no reason to keep it ( lifetime guarantee on the new one ). I'm willing to sell the whole lot for £16500. If you take the whole mods package into account at say £7k second hand value that means your getting the car for £9.5k. I don't think I can be fairer than that! I'm moving onto something more practical unfortunately ( definitely no females involved this time, new girlfriend loves the car and will be sorry to see it go ) but it is now my only vehicle and due to financial restraints I can't afford to run two cars. So it's farewell fun and exciting Alpina and hello practical and boring 4X4 and dare I say it, probably a diesel. Still, I'm sure I could chip it and fit big wheels or something!

A couple of extra mods I forgot to mention are a Braille lightweight battery and alloy mount and silver grilles. I'm sure there's more so I will update as my memory clears. Still no new pics but I'll get to it as soon as the weather clears.

Man, get down the auctions and buy yourself a diesel estate for buttons. Run it into the ground and keep the Alpina. It's only money.
