Selling cup holders on forum

So for context, I run a clothing company for petrol heads. Recently a mate of mine designed and created some prototypes for 3D printed cupholders for the Z4 and other older cars with the idea of collaborating and selling them via my website. They're similar to the Ultimate Cup Holders, as opposed to imitating the OE vent ones.

My question is, can I sell these on the forum? I know there's a rule against trade posts but if these are made to order does this fall under a different rule? Any mods or long-term members that can help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I can't see that being a problem as I'm pretty sure Machine Monkey used to sell his cup-holders on here.

Intriguing!
Thanks mate. I'll see what else comes of this post given the time so I'll see what the interaction is over the next few days but positive start!

I would PM Jim (Spectre) or one of the mods and see what they think.

I would be surprised if they say NO to be honest. :)

Don’t think it’s an issue. I was selling the centre console covers as a collaboration between me and IamOrion a few years back. That ended up on the Discounts and Services of the Buy and Sell section. So stick it in the buy and sell… if it gets moved, it gets moved. Interest to see what you’ve come up with? Pics? lol

I’d do the opposite. Make your post, then flag the link to the moderator. Age old saying, better to ask for forgiveness than permission :fuelfire: lol

Also a option..

Since some of you asked for pictures.

Here's it in situ in my E85. This is still an early prototype as the spine of it that sits under the plastic trim in the centre console will likely be made of aluminium in future designs to improve strength and allow it to be moulded to fit better, but this proof of concept.
