Selfish Gits

Thanks

I think there are quite a lot on the Forum who've had the dreaded lurgy now - Hopefully the jabs will help reduce the effects.
I'm just annoyed that having been very careful for the entire period, that due to a selfish, couldn't care attitude of some idiot, he has passed it onto house and more than likely hid dentist as well.

He will have caused a significant inconvenience to quite a few folk.

Three things I hate in the modern world.......Covid, estate agents and car salesmen (not necessarily in that order).

I feel for you Ron. Nothing worse than doing all the right things for almost 3 years, then being kicked in the teeth at the 11th hour. Best wishes to Mrs Ron.
I have a friend who's wife caught covid a year or so ago. They live in a tiny cottage and spent all of their time together as there was no escape. He didn't catch it, so who knows how it works?

If you do ever work it out, it will be Sir Pondrew and we will see you on the telly
TBH Ron, I struggle to work out what day it is most of the time :|

No disrespect intended at all, but the chances of hiding away from it for ever more were pretty remote tbh.
Doesn't mean I support the selfish tw*t and I hope your missus gets over it well.
In a weird kind of way I hope you get it very mildly Ron, as it will boost your immunity, but I fully understand your concerns.
I consider myself fairly fit but I've had it twice now. First time left me exhausted for two days and second time was just like a standard heavy cold.
So here's hoping you either avoid it or get it manageably enough to be beneficial in the long run.
Best wishes to Mrs Ron.

 I was hoping that we could avoid it long enough until we got the oldie booster jab which is soon to be dished out.
My concerns are that while her ladyship is in generally good health, any chest infection seem to effect her badly and require lots of anti biotics to clear it - In my case, I don't know how it would effect me with my fairly recent stay in hospital with pneumonia (bacterial)

One thing for certain - worrying won't help! :rofl

If you hear nothing for a while then you know something gone tits up.

Proper atitude
At 60 years old i have no idea how i have avoided it. Everyone at work seems to have had it now :?

On a flight to and back from Amsterdam a few weeks ago and have to go to Poland next week.
Short flight's so mask will be on.

Could also be the dentist chair though, anybody touches that and I doubt that it is wiped between visits (anymore)

You must be f****** joking!

Dentists and dental nurses take cross infection extremely seriously, (not to mention the GDC) dental surgeries have had serious decontamination procedures applied to them for decades, well before Covid.

Well the Covid bug got me eventually - I tried to keep out of her way but I suppose infection was inevitable.

I’ve been feeling off colour for a few days but soldiered on testing daily but got a Red line this morning,

The only other positive Is that her ladyship is getting better!
It seems four days before improving

Are you sure you used the correct test kit and you’re not just pregnant?

Hope it's mild mate.

Hé picked up the one his wife used, cheaper that way :D

Get well soon Ron

Cheers!

It’s like the man flu (as a lot of member already know) and there’s nothing to do but grin and bare it.
We have full cupboard's/fridge/ freezer- and the drinks cabinet is well stocked

Had a hot Toddy last night and probably another tonight.

Just got to make the best out of a bad job

Feel sorry for you, we've been keeping away from it for 3 years, picked up my daughter from Lancaster Uni and although she'd been testing up to the trip and was clear, I managed to catch it somewhere. Felt a little like flu but no where near as bad and was gone within 2 weeks. Was still able to work. Wifey didn't catch it.
