Seized chainsaw, any tips? FIXED

Good result in the end
Do you have to replace the melted parts or are they not important.....must've been running VERY hot.....blunt chain maybe.
My Husqvarna has a habit of stripping the oil drive to the chain.....crappy plastic worm gear but easily repaired with parts sourced on eBay.......it doesn't like to be run on proper chain oil,too thick for the pump,so I just use the cheapest engine oil I can find in Asda :D ........firewood use only for me.

No the melted casing is unimportant, it's fine now. The chain was new but I was probably ragging it a bit too much.. . Cars I'm very mechanically sympathetic with but tool wise I only buy Bosch because they can take some proper abuse and come back for more, so I tend to get used to hammering them a bit and cheap Ryobi just won't have it, as you say firewood use only.

Cheers and CJ10Jeeper too.
