Seeking Muppet's approval

My Z is now 4 years old, so today I thought I'd give it a good clean, clay and wax.

I'm pleased with the results - even the security guard at the cinema car park commented on its shininess!

BUT crucially ... does it pass the Muppet test?

Nice and shiny, yes!.... BUT... What is it with this place... do I need to organise a group buy on parking lessons or what????? ;)

I think it's just a case of lens distortion. I swear, I was right in the middle of the lines :P

My wife also drives the Z everyday. I only get to drive it after the Z has been cleaned, works for me! I won't drive it dirty like she does. She will drive it even if she has a bird doo on the hood. Women.

BTW very shiney.

I must say though... on that second pic, you sure don't look like a "David" ;)
  I was going to say that for a David, you're pretty hot looking!

Nice job... very shiny!

gorgeous car and nice mod on the driver's seat.

108s are the only wheels that I liked better than the 106s (at least stock).

Nah - just start giving out tickets :D

Approval given very shiney ....Muppet like shiney things

Colour looks great in those shot and the one under the strip lighting gives great reflections :D

Happy Muppet

And yeterday wasn't even a sunny day. I've found myself with a couple of days off work, so have been working like a madman on the Z. Have done a full outside/inside job and have now just come in from cleaning and impregnating (!) the lid.

It's ok to love your car, but not LOVE your car!

Thanks ... I was pleased with the result and was easily worth the effort.

I took it to the local hand wash to get a basic clean before I got started. Then I clayed it using Meguiar's clay (which took up a massive amount of otherwise unseen dirt and grime. I then used Meguiar's Gold Class liquid wax which went on very easily. Left it to dry out, then took it off using a 12v polisher. I'm not sure if the polished made any difference to the finish, but it made it easier!

For the roof, I used the BMW soft top cleaner and impregnating agent.
