I own a ‘05 BMW Z4 3.0i. When i first got the car i got a muffler delete in hopes of getting a more aggressive sound, which up until recently had satisfied me, but now im wanting more. I had been thinking of also getting the mid resonator deleted but i have not seen any good videos on how it would sound so i have been hesitant on getting it done.
Now, i had also heard about people removing the secondary cats which i heard makes the sound more aggressive without having to deal with any CEL issues since they are not monitored. And in this video: https://youtu.be/hF6gtHQgICk the muffler delete along with the secondary cat delete sounds amazing to me.
The only question i have is whether or not my US 2005 BMW Z4 3.0i is fitted with secondary cats. I’ve heard different answers on various forums but no concrete answer. I know euro cars are different so i just want to know.
