Secondary Air Pump

I thought whenever you have something replaced by BMW, that particular thing automatically gets a 1 year (or 2 year) warranty even if you car's already out of the original 4 year warranty period? If it hasn't been a full year since they replaced those parts for you, they could probably replace them for you for free again.

Just happened today, so I haven't had a chance to ask anyone. Gonna take things apart this weekend to test the air pump itself to see if it's failing, or the check valve.

So i'm getting an SEL light and my code reader is telling me that I have a P1515 code. I had this almost exactly one year ago and it was the Secondary Air Pump, which I replaced along with the check valve, gasket and air tube.

Anyone else had this go on their car? Mine's an 03 built in November of 02.

Hey. I was wondering if you were able to replace the air pump with that or do you happen to change it for free within the warranty. Well, my friend is having a problem on his air pump and planning to change it over the weekend so we're kinda looking for one and I think the link you have there would be a good replacement for my friend. Can you also tell us if that air pump really works well? or anyone has other suggestions for air pump?
