Second parking damage :x

I left my car in the (overflow) work car park for a week..... Came back this morning to see someone has clipped the corner of my front bumper... horrid white lines there among the dirt :(

A few years ago it was my door and now this.... This is now the most jinx'd car i've owned :(

Luckily this time I needed it repraying anyway as i cracked one of my fangs last year.... and it will only be a £200 repray, unlike my door which was over £1K damage.

Got security to check the video footage, but only goes back a few days :o

Incredibly annoying. It happened to my 182, and noticed the same on my Mazda last wk.

Last yr when i was parked up in a car park i saw a guy drive into a new Focus, park up then walk off! I went and put a note on the window explaining what had happened leaving my number. I got a phone call off the insurers. Hopefully i'll have helped with the claim. Inconsiderate b*stards.

You'd think that being a works car park, they'd maybe take a bit more care. In my previous car, I only ever had a couple of pin dents - and you'd think they'd be inflicted at the local Tescos or NCP - but no, both at work. In the age of technology perhaps manufacturers can mount webcams in the car so at least you have the option of tracking them down...
 
i'll get some pics up tonight... sadly as our overflow car park is a shared carpark its virtually impossible to tell who could have done it as clients are coming in and out.. and even big vans are always coming in the place.

Well i'd have to get it resprayed one of the pitfalls of car ownership i guess :(

Had it happen to me once to an old car not the Z4, i was parked outside one of mates houses for an hour or 2 early in the evening one bonfire night, he had his window open for some reason and i heard a "noise" which sounded like a car getting damaged but i thought naaa it was a firework and didnt bother to look through the curtain, only to find later on my passenger door was covered in dents and creases and the mirror smashed in :x assumed it was vandal damage at first but upon closer inspection in the daylight it became obvious it had been careered into by a bicycle!! If only i had opened the curtain cos i would have seen the person who had done it and my mate lives in a dead end and with the direction of the damage it was obvious they were going home to one of the 10 or so houses past my mates, although it was prob for the best i didnt see really cos i would have flipped my lid :x

First, really sorry to hear about your bad news :(

Can I ask though, why did you leave your Z in a work car park for a whole week? (maybe it's no less safe there than your usual parking place?)

I usually leave it at work whenever i use my company car... Sadly the car park was unusually full so i used the overflow one at the back which is shared... Its normally safe... Not this time :(
 
A little update... Finally got mine bumper plastic welded and resprayed... Need to fit my new carbon fibre bmw badge (the old one was yellowing)
