Second Jab

I was ok after the first jab but under the weather for a day after the second. Better than covid though!

felt ok at first but next day was very lethargic n feeling ropey - actually slept quite a bit which is unusual so hoping the second one is ok

Did they give you a jab as a walk in candidate?

No Ron, and while I was waiting for them to check the paperwork, an Asian man was being directed to a seat. He asked what type of jab was being offered, as soon as he heard AZ, he about turned and walked out, saying no no no no.
I mentioned that I could have his, that was turned down :thumbsdown: .
I was in my work uniform too, and we have been classed as essential workers throughout the whole pandemic, obviously that doesn't mean anything.

Missus got hers yesterday and was fine.

I had a bit of a sore arm after the first and nothing after the second. Think the sore head the following day was more due to the alcohol the night before to be honest.

Got a text at 5.15pm saturday

Booked, turned up, jabbed by 5.40pm

2nd much better so far than 1st side effect wise

Practice manager who did the chat with me said they’d been given authority to call people in earlier for 2nd jabs, 12 weeks to 9, to prepare for booster jabs for the older population

I'm the opposite. I knew I'd had something the first time but the side effects were very mild. This time I'm aching and feeling rough. It's annoying, because I think I would have slept through it if I'd been able to book the injection earlier in the day (last one was mid-morning but the second was early evening). Still better than a dose of COVID-19, though!

Well got my letter through for my 1st jab and have cancelled the appointment, I was 50/50 but opted to give it a pass

I am under 40. Anecdotally, most of my friends that are under 40 seem to be getting it - either they've told me or have posted on Facebook. I tried to find some data that breaks down the uptake by age group but couldn't - I might try again because it's an interesting question. Again anecdotally, there have been reports of booking issues due to high demand each time the vaccine has been made available to younger age groups. We didn't use the NHS booking site even though we were sent a letter to book an appointment at the a local Nightingale vaccine centre. Just phoned our local doctor, told them we had the invitation and they offered us an appointment at the local walk in clinic the next day instead.

Got my second tomorrow - think we have all had at least one now

The cases are rising again - seems like a jab if offered is the only way to go.
While there are un vaccinated amongst us the virus will always have somewhere to go and do its mutation.
