Second Jab

Don't blame you. Taking care now ensures you will still be around next year. Stay safe.

I know it's a bit of a revival but I got my 2nd AZ one yesterday. :D

And like the 1st no side effects!

I had the 2nd Pfizer on Friday

Bloody sore arm afterwards and Saturday morning it was hard to raise over my shoulder height I was also wrecked tired and fell asleep at 9pm

Today. Sunday I’m absolutely fine again though it’s still tender where I was jabbed

First dose had zero effect on me

I got a message offering my 2nd jab next Tuesday, I'm giving blood on Wednesday, so declined. now offered for the following Tuesday

I‘m at the looking forward to the Booster Jab stage
Signed up for the trials for the booster but doubt I will hear anything.

The more of this stuff they can pump into me the better as far as I am concerned.

Went out for my first Sunday lunch in a year yesterday and must admit it's a great feeling knowing you are safe.

Coffee in Rothbury, a pint in Alnwick and 3 course lunch just down the road at Ramside Hall just outside of Durham.
The second pint when we got home just helped me to nod off for a hour.

Life and this retirement lark is tougher than I anticipated

I agree, it is - but Im not swapping it!

I had my first one on Friday, (no side effects whatsoever) and the nurse said it wouldn’t be long before I got my invitation for the second and I’m 36.

I was 8 weeks apart and understand they are achieving that now easily.

Stay safe for a couple more weeks

That's interesting - my 2nd one last Friday was 12 weeks after my 1st. :?

Maybe it's because I got given the date for the 2nd when I had the 1st.

Yep same here. I was given a date exactly 12 weeks apart but was sent a txt from my local surgery at 8 weeks that I was eligible to book one, so I did. The nurse confirmed they were all getting done up here at 8 weeks

I went to have my 2nd jab this morning, got inside and gave my name...not on the list!
The guy went to check, came back saying that I definitely wasn't on the list.
Apparently, when you book your 2nd jab, you must click on the blue confirm box. I don't recall seeing the box.
I just made a date entry on my phone and left it at that.
I have since heard that this happens a lot, with people turning up and not being jabbed.

Similar thing happened to me, except I noticed that my second appointment was cancelled on the NHS website as they thought I hadn't turned up for the first one! (I had).

Got it sorted eventually with the help of my GP's admin team

This is worrying me now. I had my first on March 27th. Got a slip at the doctors' with my second appointment for June 19th. I've heard many people being called early for the second in our area. Not heard a thing. A call to the doctor is in order me thinks just to make sure.

My sister lives in Oxford. She was called for her second jab (AZ) for the day she was due to have an operation. So she said she would postpone it for a week or so. A week later she phoned the doctors to re-book and they told her they didn't have any AZ and were only doing Pfizer for the younger people for the foreseeable future! She did get her second in the end, but surely they could have explained the above when she postponed?

I had mine in March and just had the letter for my second on 10th June so all ok in Wales - not looking forward to it after first :(
