Second Jab

Just been sent an appointment for my second jab today, 3 weeks early!

Looks like everything is going well, at least in this part of the country :D

Hopefully the same for everyone else.

Dad has had two. Mum has had one and has a date for the second. We're starting to vaccinate over 45s in Stafford as well.

Most of my family have had two as they work in the NHS, me, my mother and my brother in law have one but mam second is in a few weeks time.

Wales seems to be on track with the programme for once

Mum just phoned to say she’d got her 2nd one today and I get my 2nd next week. Definitely looking like they’re at least on target

My 2nd is 31st May (Maybe i'll get it earlier)

Ordered home testing kit yesterday from Gov.uk/covid19 web site and arrived this morning already :o Bilmey they do seem to have their act togeather.

I’ve just had a nightmare experience.

NHS claimed that I never turned up for my first jab so they cancelled my second one. It turned out to be a ‘clerical error’, it took several weeks to sort out but I finally got my rescheduled second appointment for May 1st.

Was it all completed with the twelve week period ?

2nd one for me on Thursday, just 5 weeks between them, aged 50 with no underlying issues.

My Mrs is about 2 weeks behind me for both and she is 49.

The end result is that I get the second jab 2 days later than I originally should have, which is around 12 weeks since the first one.

However, I was a bit OCD :) and checked my booking a few weeks ago, otherwise I’m not sure about the outcome.

I assume you had the Vaccination Card from the first visit ?

Yes Ron, and it did help. My local GP surgery took it as proof of the first jab and sorted it out with NHS.

It seems that NHS didn’t register my first jab on their system and it all went tits up after that.

Delighted! I had my second one last week. About three weeks early. Just waiting for the boss to have hers. She’s a bit younger than me so we are expecting an appointment at the beginning of May.

We were ten weeks between the first and second jab at our doctors surgery. Both Astra Zeneca.

I was fine after first jab but felt like I’d been dragged thro a hedge backwards after the second jab. That only lasted for a day.

Other way round for me. Felt rough for 48 hours after first jab in January. Had my second jab Friday and no issues whatsoever. :)

The vaccine roll out and testing program is very impressive. I just hope the rest of Europe gets its act together so I can get over there during summer. Unfortunately our planned trip to Italy in June won’t be going ahead now :x

My wife had her second jab (AZ) yesterday, a bit apprehensive as she had a bad reaction to the first one.

All seemed good but now she's suffering today (headache, hot/cold chills) but not quite as bad as the first time round.

Been called up for my 2nd (AZ) next week only 7 weeks after first dose if all as the first round, wife should be week after. both 51 no issues. :driving:

Funny that. When my wife had hers I suffered from earache for 48 hours.

The idea of my annual German / Netherlands trip has been scrubbed again for this year.
DFDS keep reminding me to book crossing but its not going to happen. I don't feel comfortable nor confident just yet.
