2.5 when cold starts on the second try

So,
when the car is cold - it can't start for the first time. It tries and tries but nothing.
However, when I turn the key back to the zero position and try again - like a charm.
I think it's somehow related to the colder weather as during the summer this problem didn't occur.

My bluetooth OBD doesn't report any errors.
Feels like fuel pump I guess.

2003 2.5 manual.

Odd you don't get any codes which would lead me to suspect fuel pressure or failing camshaft or crank sensor despite no codes being set. Long crank time is a symptom of a failing camshaft sensor have seen that before.

But the first cranking is not "long". It's more like endless.
I think I changed the sensor either way some time ago.

But on the second try it's perfect.

Was the sensor an oem brand? When it comes to replacing sensors always use oem brand like Bosch, many pattern parts either don't work or last long.
