Seb's Z4 3.0i

About 30 minutes from chamonix up towards Switzerland at the other half's parents' place!

The dog is theirs. Husky cross breed that wouldn't bark at a fly.

Just drove up to the village to pick the other half's sis up, -5 and ice/snow on the passes and the winter contis held up well!!

Removed the winter wheels today and have put the 108s back on with a new set of tyres (or they will have tomorrow) I think I will wait until next winter to refurb them when I put the winters back on, if I can afford it!

Car now at 83,500 so it has done 6k on the snows! Still got a large amount of tread left on them as well!
 
Facelift bumper is on now! Will pop a PIC up later. Big downside was that I snapped one of the headlight washer caps clips so the drivers side just has a hole at the moment!!

I thought exactly the same when I first got mine. Having owned a Capri 2.8 injection years ago and a few kit cars since I thought a 3 litre 6 cylinder Z4 making claims of sub 6 seconds 0-60 times would totally blow me away. It didn't though. It didn't feel as rapid as other much slower cars I've owned.

I think this is all down to torque curves. The Z4 delivers its power too smoothly so you never feel any harsh kick of power when accelerating. now know however that it is quick as I've done plenty of traffic light tests with sport button pressed and pedal to the floor and when you look in your mirror there is usually nothing even close (even when some of them are clearly trying). :thumbsup:

Good work mate! Shame about the cover! I got 2 for a few quid at Sopers.

Looking forward to pics! What do you think of it? Like it as you thought?

Bumper on and car machine polished! (Something I do about twice a year :o )

I do quite like it, much more so than the standard!

Oh God no! Just bumper. Grille and dogs from Jamie at sopers. Reflectors not arrived yet though

On the facelift bumpers, does anything have to be changed like the undertray (I believe if you fit an M bumper, you have to change the undertray and afew other bits)

It's something I'm thinking about.
 
Literally nothing else no.

Bumper attaches to the same points. Might want to buy some of the push rod plastic clips though as I didn't even have all mine in! Some of my under tray was smashed a bit as well so a few plastic shards dropped out when I changed them over.

Only difference is you can't reuse the fogs so have to buy facelift ones with the lower grille as well. Only need a T30 screwdriver, thin push rod/jewelers screwdriver and an 8mm socket to remove and replace! Had mine done in 40 minutes and that included messing with the washer holes.
