That is good news for Dan Not so good for you Andrew... The guy wants around the £700 mark they are in top condition and a bit different from the crowd. I know what your saying £1000 thats my track car money if i ever get round to it!!

Wait on the sport seats, they're DEFINITELY worth it :D

The trick isn't too look, it's to aimlessly browse, find a set, and buy them even if you can't afford them. :oops:

Your right CJ They don't look quite right. But they are loads cheaper and readily available. And better than the stranded seats!! I wounder if you could just use the base of the 3 series seats???????

I don't see the point of fitting seats that don't look right just because they are cheaper. I waited ages and scooped up a set of red leather sports seats. Was best part of 2 years until I got matching door cards, meanwhile I'd had mine colour matched.

Can't imagine for one minute the spacing of the backrests onto the bases will be compatible, but never say never and you're a dab hand machining things.
 
Yeah i know they may not look right. For me its not a case of getting something just for the sake of it. I find the standard seats really uncomfortable and they don't hold you in place. I have done the seat spacer modification and that has made a huge improvement. I can actually drive my car for more than an hour with out back pain now. I just want to feel sat in the car and comfy not perched on a stool as they seem to feel now. I would love the m seats as your right CJ they fit the car and the shape is just right. Its just i have short arms and deep pockets!!!

I know and it's easy for long arm and short pocket people to say 'just buy them'.
From experience I can tell you there are worth every penny. For slimmer folks the seats hug and hold you rather than the standard on which you perch, roll and slide. Guess they cater for all sizes, especially some overseas markets...

I drive from B'ham to the South coast on a regular basis and feel fresh on arrival or hoon around all day happily.

Same since I made a similar conversion to my XF and replaced standard seats with 18 way sports. - world of difference.
 
I hear what your saying about slimmer people. I seem to lean against the door or end up in the passengers seat!!

It just seems the cheapest and easiest solution. Other than getting non BMW seats.

Thats what happened to me
I didnt even know I wanted sport seats, see some for sale said I would have them

Then thought that is quite alot of money, but I had already said yes so I went and got them and to be honest they are well worth the money
