So my e46 msport elec/heated seats arrived today along with a new roof/seat heater panel.
Seats cleaned

One needs a slight repair on the drivers seat at the top of the offside bolster, so need to sort that.

Anyone know what the torque setting is for the seat bolts?

Off to Royals tomorrow to pick up my new wheel.
Then off to see Mike on Friday for new Vanos seals.

All go this week.
 
Forgot to say, black dye ordered and that will be the next step for the seats before they go in. :thumbsup:
 
Good news OP - I had those E46 M-Sport seats in my E46 325ti and they are so much better than the Z4 "Sport" ones!

I'd be amazed if Mike didn't know the torque settings for seat bolts - he is a mine of Z4 information! :)

I used to know it, but having had the same seats in and out of [ref]bz4kev[/ref]'s car about a dozen bloody times (don't ask) I just do 'em "tight enough" now...

But seeing as you asked :D

when you fit these, could you get some photos of them 'in-situ' please? i need new seats in mine (the standard ones are diabolical), but i've always wondered whether the upper bolster area would look weird, as the lower bolster bulges out, unlike the upper part, which seems to be rather square in appearance.

The E46 coupe seats seem to be a bit different, unless that's only E46 M3 seats?

So that is sorted then!

I had them in my 325ti - they were very nice!

(Even if this forum seems to rotate them 90 degrees). :headbang:

Still my E86 just happens to be in the back-ground! :)

They don't look too bad, apart from the strange headrest design. Is it meant to point forward?

May have to invest in some for mine. My seats are killing my back as I'm getting older :cry:

you can tilt them back or forth.
