Seats swap.

Thinking of swapping my basic manual seats for used leather heated electric seats, has anybody else done this? How simple/difficult is this? And is there anything I should be aware of or watch out for?

Thanks in advance! :D

If you have a pre-facelift Zed then the heated seat wiring loom should already be in place (guys on here who have done the swap should hopefully confirm this), so should be a plug-and-play. You will need to buy a centre switch console for the heated seat buttons, secondhand ones are around £60 to £70 on eBay.

Removing and refitting the seats is quite simple, though you'd be surprised how heavy the seats are! There's a very good guide on here which makes it a doddle.

Sorry yes it's pre-facelift, sounds pretty straight forward, I've tried searching for a guide but I'm struggling to find it :headbang:

for heated seats you will need extra wiring ,can be bought from bmw for around £40 ,and switches.

I thought pre facelift already had the correct wiring loom in place?

You'll have to check by looking under the seat. Lots of bits were on very early years but faded out later (presumably once they realised what options were ordered regularly)
