I nearly always have the roof down so tend to step in and slide down the back of the seat rather than across the seat edge.

Common issue, most Zeds suffer and as mr wilks says, if not dreadful then can be sorted. I keep my seats well fed and shiny so that I slip into place - together with the sliding down the back rather than across the seats helps. Not a deal breaker unless it's particularly bad, and worn through - there are specialists that can sort it.
