Seatbelt straps

Is it just me or does anyone else think that the seatbelt location is poor?
It's uncomfortable on my shoulder and marks the top of the seat.
Any, sensible, suggestions or solutions?

They slipped up not having the seat belt guide like the previous and later model. Why it was left out of the design?
I and a few have fitted the padded seat load spreader you can get from car accessory shops or for a couple of quid from the Range or Wilco.
They can stop the rubbing on the seat, especially if it's kansas beige like my car seats.

I didn't know that they used to have them and now do on later models, bizarre.
The seatbelt is too low and rubs my shoulder even with the seat as low as it goes.
Didn't really fancy a cover, that would help with the seat rubbing but not the discomfort.
