Seat won’t go forward

Hi all. We have just bought a z4 2003. It has manual adjusting seats and when trying to adjust for the mrs to drive it we can only get it to move about 2 inches forward from the back. It feels like something solid is stopping it like a stopper. Any idea? Spring looks to be working all ok

Sounds like something is caught in the runners, if you can’t see anything I’d suggest taking the seat out. Here’s a guide I just found in the how to section

Could be something as simple as the seatbelt is locking up and stopping it moving forward, mine does that all the time! Pull the belt out as far as you can, then try moving it forward again good luck!
