Seat covers/protectors. Doggers, what do you use?

Ok, not that sort of dogging - the real dog variety. :roll: :o :lol:
What are dog owners using to protect their seat covers from mutley slobber and drippage?

I do a fair bit of mountainbiking over in the Amerongse Bos which is 20 mins drive from my gaff over here in Holland.
After a ride, rather than peel off the muddy lycra stuff I usually sling the bike back on the bikerack and drive back home. I have however sullied the lovely supple leather sometimes and have had to get the cleaning kit out. Drrp.

Looking for a suitable seat cover/protector, one that fits the non-sport seats preferably, not one of those throw-on sloppy things. BMW did actually used to make one (82110152589) but they’re long out of production now and as rare as hen’s teeth.

I thought they’d be ten-a-penny and dead easy to find but I’m struggling finding anything half-decent tbh.
Any suggstions?

Right, not to do with the seat covers... but how in the heck is your Saris mounted that well.

Couldn't get mine anywhere I was happy with it at all!!!!

You can kinda see the problem in the pic below. The bottom two feet just don't sit anywhere stable enough - it folded the bumper in. Even when rested on the little lip it was not secure feeling at all.

From ur photo it looks like a Bones 2 with the single top spar. I can’t tell but if the 2 is configurable like my 3 is then you should be able to either shorten the top straps to make the bumper feet sit a little higher on the face of the bumper rather than on the crease as in your case. Or you can change the position of the spars around the central toothed core to get a better relative angle.

To be honest, the way you have your bikes mounted, with all that overhang and no side straps anchoring things down I’d be reticent to drive it like that. Perhaps a better option would be to remove the rear wheels and put them in the boot and leave the fronts on or remove those too and strap them down centrally using elastic hooked cables?

I also use that squishy rubber mat stuff to make a soft buffer between the spar feet and paintwork.

Personally, I’d re-invest n a 3 if transporting 2 mtb’s.

Mountain biking in Holland 🇳🇱 I thought it was all flat no mountains flatbiking. :rofl: Back to business hi I use a blanket with plastic sheet underneath works for me when go walking with my dog. I also carry a cloth and some water for quick clean
