Seat Bolsters

Hi all, I don't think I am going mad but..... I have owned my E89 for about 4 years and just after l bought it my better half said her seat had changed shape and was a lot tighter fitting. So being a man I dismissed this instantly, fast forward to about 6 months ago l was sat waiting for said better half in a car park, l was sat with my weight more on the right bolster than the centre of the seat and l swear l felt it move, then to my disbelief I could hardly fit in it. After a couple of weeks it seemed to be back to normal so I thought it was just me but its happened again. Is this even possible? am l going mad? it is suddenly really uncomfortable. Any thoughts?
 
Does it have the adjustable bolsters? A small rocker switch on the base, if I'm correct, its near the front right corner of the drivers seat (front left corner of passenger). It "inflates" and "deflates" the side bolsters.
 
Thanks for your quick reply, to be honest l haven't a clue if has adjusters or not, l shall go have a look
 
well they say you never stop learning. Thanks mate all sorted I found the control rocker, still not sure how it activated itself but not to worry. I guess l should have read the manual a little more thoroughly. :thumbsup:
 
Cool, glad I could help.

I seem to remember that if you inflate them, after a while they do deflate over time, but what you describe happened to you it sounds like yours inflated itself. Can't think why that would happen, on both seats.

They're essential on the Boxster, John, because the manual seats are terrible! :wink:

:lol: I think the seats in our X6 are 20 way adjustable with memory.
If you were to move the seats without using the memory the chances of you getting them back in the exact same place would be almost impossible.
The amount of adjustment is unbelievable.
