Seat Belt !!!!

Anyone had a problem with the drivers side seat belt?

Two occasions now since buying my Z4 2.0. Roadster two weeks ago, the seat belt won't release so have to start off my journey without wearing it, alarm sounds for a while then stops then seat belt comes available to wear?

Any ideas?

Sounds like the seat belt pretension... But not heard of an issue with it on our cars.

When you can't pull yours is the passenger side the same?

No probs with mine-are you saying the inertia reel is sticking?

Passenger side fine and yes inertia is sticking it is just jammed, bit dangerous?

I don't think it's dangerous as they fail locked as yours is doing. Of course it's dangerous to drive off without it on... :wink:

You can try vacuuming it as they can fill with dirt and fluff, failing that a new unit, or breakers.

Thanks, think I'll take it to the dealer I bought the car from this week and see what they are prepared to do.
