Seat belt guide

Can anyone advise if it's possible to remove the seat belt from the guide fitted at the top of the seat on my '07 2.0 Z4 ? the reason being that I use a seat cover as I have a dog but due to the guide I can't get the cover to fit correctly.

Couple of screws on the rear from memory. I would remove, fit cover and then put back in place. You'll have to make a couple of holes in your cover of course.

I didn't mean remove the guide but remove the belt from the guide, I need to be able to remove the seat cover when I carry people.

Depending on the guide type,earlier ones you lift up the headrest .This gives allows you to remove the screw holding the guide.The belt will then slip out.
The later thin ones just unclip in the centre of the outer part of the bracket,allowing the belt out.
