Seat Bases, stupid question... Possibly

Morning All,

So after fitting my leather seats, I bought them with the heated part already in them but they weren't electric, Starting to hate the manual function.

Can the bases be changed out from my old cloth, heated, electric seats to a set of leather, heated and manually operated seats? Seats in question were from a car of the same year. So to obtain Heated, electric & Skinned seats? I don't care at all if the opposite cannot be achieved, Old ones will be binned at some point.

If so is it grief to change it?

The bases, whether manual or electric are interchangeable between all of the seats, whether they be SE/Sport and heated/unheated.

I did mine, as I swapped my heated elec SE seats for those from a car with heated manual sports seats, and vice versa. Took me a couple of hours to do all 4 seats, but would prob take me half the time again.

Standard seats are easier to take apart . Took about 1.5 hrs to do with a coffee break half way through.
