Seat base/bolster mod?

I've found a great 2006 Z4 M on offer and took one for a drive. Great performance. Only issue is seat base comfort for my wife. The seat base bolsters are narrow and very stiff making it a very uncomfortable ride for her undercarriage. Has anyone faced a similar problem with some thoughts (other then just getting a standard Z)?
Any advice welcome.
Thanks.

What seats are fitted? The sports seats?

Swapping for the base SE seat would be simple enough if so...?

Yes, it has the standard sport seats. Are the SE the ones on the standard Z4? Would that affect the heating elements?

Yes the regular SE Z4 seats.

You'd need to get heated ones, but it's probably the simplest "fix".

You could get the seat foam shaved down, or maybe even swap the top or bottom half of the seat over, but that would be expensive (both in terms of labour and destroyed resale value) and a lot of hassle.

That would be sacrilege on an ///M
If it's the passenger seat, and the original kept as a spare, not really.

Not sure why your wife is placing her 'undercarriage' on the bolsters though.

Personally, I found the lack of base padding and hip support caused me the most discomfort. My e34 M5 seats where like armchairs compared to the Z4M seats, yet were more supportive when pushing on as you sat 'in' them rather than 'on' them!
