Thanks to Mr Tidy who today met me at a dealer this afternoon to give me moral support and a second opinion on an E85.

Now the owner of a 3.0Lsi.

Collect next week and then I can post the obligatory pics :-)

Good info on this forum allowed me to find the right motor for me. Thanks to all for accommodating my questions.

I know it’s now raining in the UK though I expect the roof will still be down plenty of times during the rest of the year.

Some things are not perfect as I was expecting, though I’m sure the driving will make up for them!
Very much looking forward to the experience!

It was good to meet you OP - I think you've found a good honest example there.

Now you've just got to wait until you collect it!

Good idea taking an experienced Z owner. Wish I had done the same when I bought mine, not that I’ve had problems, just valuable insight (plus they would have spotted the inside pillar cover missing on the interior).

Well done and a 3.0 roadster to boot  ..... and you're right its top down all round the year even on cool autumn days and freezing winter ones - you really get that I'm alive and in the world feeling (shortly before body bits fall off if you have the windows down and heated seats off!

Its going to be a long few days til next week but worth the wait.

Well done OP

Some of the best roof down days are in the winter... cold air rushing over you whilst your wrapped up warm in a scarf with the heater on... I almost can’t wait :P

Congrats, you won't be disappointed I'm sure! ..and well done Mr Tidy for giving the support and an experienced 2nd opinion.

Nice one.

Been 2 years this month since I bagged mine.
Didn't expect it would grow on me so much, even after a shaky start and especially after being supplied with some very nice lease cars from clients, including a Tesla!
Glad to say the zed's never let me down and has performed to expectations most admirably!

The forum has been a wealth of wisdom, wit and useful information and proved especially useful not only in my own search for an E85 but also in remedying some teething issues. Anyone remember that gargantuan thread? Throttlebody, CCV system, oil-leaks....lol. happy days!

Get some pics up on colelction lad!
