Hi,

Sorry for the basicness of this question, but what is the difference between a Z4 3.0i SE and a Z4 3.0i?

Glad someone else asked that question... I've been wondering about that too!

I've had two SE-spec BMWs. I got hold of build sheets for both, but it wasn't too easy to find out what equipment was part of the original SE spec and what were 'options'. Given insurers' attitudes these days, it would be really good if someone would come up with a list of standard equipment for reference....

2003-2005 cars in UK spec only came in SE trim

In non UK markets, there were non SE models, with manual hoods etc, and very limited equipment

Confused :scratchhead: Does that mean that my 2003 3.0i is actually an SE?

Yes this is important for insurance purposes, as when I put in the year and model, it comes up with a SE Convertible option and a Convertible option. Does it say in the car manual what the exact model is?

Thought the SE model spec on the 3.0 (03-05) included the M sport suspension & 108's as standard, plus a couple of other bits such as auto lights.

Have a look at the link in Wondermike's signature - specifications 3.0 models.
