SE or sport

Which model is best?
Are the sports seats better than the se versions?
Is the sport suspension really as bad as people say?

Personally I think the sport looks much nicer, but if an se comes up with the right kit it might be worth a look.

What do you guys think?

In Short Sport is better, and will be easier to shift on come sale time.

Suspension is stiffer, but stick some non runflats on will more than compensate.

M Sport Seats are much better than the SE sport seats.

Looks wise though other than the wheels there is no difference.

Exactly as Steve has said above. Don't lumber yourself with an SE - they are so much harder to sell, and the price difference just isn't worth it.

No question, sport model is generally regarded as the best. M Sport Suspension is fine and suits the sports look of the E85 better than factory suspension in my opinion. However if there is a particular SE car than you like then this is no particular reason you should discount it.

As above

But if you find an se at the right price mileage condition etc. I wouldnt turn it down to wait for a sport

I got an se and fitted sport seats in it

Personally the SE would be a deal breaker for me.

The price difference isn't much and if you are patient (or even slightly patient) you'll find the right sport.

Worth an extra few months searching to save potentially 3 years of regret.

Cheers. There's a couple se models with good kit compared to some sports with cock all!

Personally I think getting an se I would always wish I'd gone for a sport.

I like my sports suspension and don't think it's too hard. We live on a farm and the road is far from perfect but the suspension set to comfort handles the uneven surface a lot better than my son's scirocco. It's never going to feel like a 4x4 but I'm happy with it :)

I for one would like to have a ride in an SE to feel the difference. As above theres no doubt that they would be much harder to sell, and on the whole have much lower spec's..

But I'd still like to know how much difference there is in the ride as the Sport is very harsh. Dont get me wrong its nowhere near as bad as my old mk2 scirocco was but its not a lot better and nowhere near as good as my e46 compact. Having said that my E24 was in a league of its own in this respect..
