Just saying hello!
Got my Z4 in January, only now able to drive. Really enjoying so far. Almost 20 years ago I had a mx5, also enjoyed it but sold after 5 years, always regretted selling it. I checked on the web and that car is still being enjoyed by its current owner, it has about 90,000 miles- I sold it with around 20,000.
So, I have retired and got this Z4, it is a basic model, but fast enough for me. Always felt a bit vulnerable in the mx5 on the motorways, but, this Z4 feels much more substantial & great to drive. Only has 11,500 miles, so a lot of driving ahead.
Already waving to the other Z4 drivers I come across.

Really low mileage though. Enjoy building that up.

The model is e89 2l sportster, it has 66 plates.

Welcome to the forum. Lovey looking Z4 and nice low miles on it. I'm sure you will add plenty to those now you are retired.

I love our MX5's and my Z4. They are very different cars. There are times when the simplicity of the Mx5 is more fun to be honest. But I would never want to take one on a week away. Naff all space in the boot and that from the owner of a car with the battery in the boot. :lol:

Welcome to the forum, similar to you I miss my mx5 but also have 2.0 z4 albeit a e85, so similar in that it's a roadster but also so different to mx5. As said you can actually get away for a week in this and loving the drive so far. Hope you carry on enjoying yours
