SDrive30i REMUS CAT Back

I took a leap of faith this week and had a REMUS CAT back exhaust fitted to my 30i. There was nothing online that really gave any useful information on the results re sound or fittment so for £576 supply/fit I waited patiently to hear/see/feel the difference. The e89 exhaust is in one piece so although REMUS state that the CAT back box picks up on existing mounts the original system has to be cut behind the central expansion box to pIck up what will be a newly introduced clamped joint on the REMUS pipes. Firstly, many thanks to Elite in Rainham ESSEX for the supply and fit and bearing with my moans about having to cut the old box off. Its the only way it can be fitted. I needed to retain the original box for BMW WARANTY visits and Elite sleeved and welded the old pipes so it could be slipped back on, wonderful!
Result, my Z4 now sounds and drives as a sports car should. I should add that I am no spring chicken and a bit deaf. Nevertheless my memory serves me well and the cars in my youth like my TR6, MINI Cooper S (several of these), MGB all had loudish distinctive sounds. Pleased to say that my Z4 has now joined those ranks. The exhaust looks really good, it's loud but not too loud, it's fruity and burbles nicely, sounds awesome when you give it the beans ( never too old for that) and the biggest bonus is the feel of the car on the open road. It just feels like it's had a blocked nose and it's suddenly cleared! Bottom line, £576 extremely well spent. Wish the weather was a bit warmer than 6C because it's soooo good with the roof down.
Thanks again Elite Rainham.

I have tried but it doesn't do it justice. I would join the ranks of poor YouTube video makers. Traffic noise, and recordings made at the exhaust tips. The sound you experience is at the wheel and a I wasn't able to get a decent before and after recording. The difference is significant in the flesh.
