Sdrive 23i fuel economy

I never looked at it that good to be honest, but I'm pretty surprised with fuel consumption and I have the sDrive30i. Got to admit though, it's not my daily driver :)

I've managed 35mpg from my old skool 3.0i Z4, with very careful driving.

More recently, since the car has been promoted to weekend only, that 35mpg has dropped to c.24-26mpg.

It's all about the mileage you do, road conditions, journey lengths, and traffic.

If your car is a daily driver AND weekend toy, you could always consider buying a reasonable runaround to take all the boring mileage, and leave the zed for smileage mileage....

It's most certainly your short journeys.

Take it for a Sunday run and reset the OBC.

My 23i sometimes seen 42mpg on my usual 50 mile journey. The iS is doing nicely at 35 mpg on the same run. However i'm driving like a saint to get those returns.

23i takes up to 15 miles to warm up properly with gentle driving.

31mpg @ 42mph av. speed today, From Glasgow, up Loch Lomondside, Tyndrum, Glencoe, Ballachullish, Connel, Oban, Dalmally, Invararay for Lunch @ The Royal, Loch Fyne Oyster Bar, Rest & Be Thankful, Arrochar & back down Loch Lomondside. Roof down all the way to Connel. sime spirited driving & some pootling... better! :)

550 miles in the last couple of days from Glasgow to Nottingham - (M74 / M6 / A66 / M1) 32mpg @ ~60mph avg speed Cruise set at 75mph with about 60% roof down motoring.... Fuel economy seems better with the roof up - must be a drag thing....
Range of about 400 miles - OBC & calculated fuel pretty much bang on.
