Scuff/paint removal

My wife caught a post in her car and its left white paint on her bumper, I'm almost sure its not done any damage, that I will find out when I have got rid of the white paint.
What's best to wipe off the paint? Thinners or Acetone? which won't damage original paint. Or anything else I could try.

G3 scratch remover and then go with G3 colour restorer.. can be bought at halfords! Bet that'll get rid of 90% of it. I've had great success with those products.

I would try a claybar. They were originally made for removing overspray (I believe) so should do the job. After that you can asses the paint underneath.

I'm not sure clay would be aggressive enough, really needs polishing out with a DA and a cutting compound and buffing with a good polish to restore the finish.

no need for a DA, elbow grease is all he'll need to get rid of that.

What he said!

Thanks for all comments, now sorted. I used some scratch remover with a bit of elbow grease, and no damage to the bumper.
