As some as you know, I'm in Barbados for a month and getting married here on January 9th.
We have friends and family arriving from the UK and friends from Barbados, US and Canada coming to the wedding, 23 guests in all.
We normally stay with friends in there beachfront condo, but felt we could not impose on them for a month so are in a hotel for the first 20 days, then another friend who also has a condo is giving us that to ourselves for the last 8 nights.
I'll post some pics and a bit of a blog, if there is any interest.
Day one, Thursday 21st we arrived at our hotel around 5pm. Went out for a few drinks and ate off one of the food stalls, in bed for 9.30 Barbados time so up for around 21 hours.
Day 2 was supermarket, checking my dive gear and setting up a new BCD, then Oistins for the Friday night fish fry. A little fishing village that is heaving on Fridays with rum shops selling cheap rum, beer and food and live music.
8 of us ate and had 3/4 drinks each for around $150.
Pic of view from hotel balcony.
