Scrubbing in tyres

I thought it might be useful to have a thread about how long it takes to "scrub in" new tyres, as I remember looking for one a while ago before I got mine.

If you could list the make and model of the tyres, followed by your driving style (gentle/medium/hard driving), and how long until you felt you had full confidence in them, that'd be great.

I'll kick it off:

Goodyear Eagle F1 - GSD3's (*4)
Medium/Hard driving
Approx 400 miles

F-1's Moderate Driving Style which is recommended for the first 500 miles. Began to feel right about 350 miles... :)

Michelin Pilot Sport 2's
1st gear 6,000 revs, dump the clutch
Approx 100m :D

Seriously though
Falken 452's (currently on the M3)
Medium/Hard driving approx 200 miles
great in the dry but not too hot in the wet but for the money an absolute steal

Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's

They started feeling pretty good after about 400 miles of moderate driving.

Dunlop Sport Max only 250 miles on them and still a bit twitchy. Guess I need to get a few more on them before I will get them dialed in. :driving:

Remember for performance tires you are removing a layer of silicone (& other stuff) that resides mostly on the outer edges.
