Screw in RFT

Found a screw in one of my damn runflats and they are barely worn, stupidly pulled it out with pliers can it be repaired? Wasn't in the tread block, was in the damn gap. Wanted to replace all four for falkens when they were worn out.

Yes they can be repaired depending upon the exact location and policy of the individual tyre shop. Take it into a couple.

BTW - as you say pulling it out was a mistake. All it does is let's the tyre down. Tubeless tyres run happily with nails and screws in. Although not a recommended strategy and they shoudl be fixed ASAP, most have been in hundreds of miles by the time the owner spots them.

I had my previous BMW (Z3M roadster) in for servive some years back and the service department called me to inform me that I had a screw in one of my rear tires and did I want to have it removed? The towering intellect of some of these service writers amazes me! I wanted to tell him "No, but one the other ******* rear to even them out", but instead I thanked him and asked him would he please repair the tire.

Sometimes, the service dept will tell you it cannot be done on RFT, but I had two fixed when I had the OEM tires and both worked out fine. Seems like those RF were nail magnets.

RFT is just like any other tire

It depends if you lost pressure and drove on the tire. You can drive on an RFT with no pressure, but it will eventually damage the structure of the tire (that's why there is a tire pressure monitor on our cars).

I picked up a nail last year which resulted in a slow leak. I tried having the tire patched, but the tire would not hold pressure. I am not sure if it was damage to the tire or incompetence at the repair shop, but I ended up at another shop and forking out the $$$ for a new tire
