You might drop the window and run the corner of a damp towel between the rubber guides. If it's grimey/gritty, you may have found the culprit which would be dust/dirt after sitting for a bit. Neglected, this could also cause some scratching of the window. That would be the case If the sound is more scratchy -vs- screechy which might be resolved by Sandman's suggestion. Sort of depends if the contact noise seems to be from contact from parts or all of the glass i.e sand paper -vs- squeegie. However, 'waking the dead' would lend me to think it's a treatment on the entire window. ...dean
