Scratches

Anyone else finally cleared their car of snow only to find a load of little scratches?

I had to clear mine - needed it to use it to get to work. Not waxed it since so haven't had a close inspection yet but so far no major scratches

Not the end of the world, just a bit annoying. Would much rather drive the car in all weathers and have a few blemishes, than have it tucked away for our one week of nice weather a year.

No choice can get it out of my road, hopefully start using it again next week.

Its not really a good test to be honest not well controlled but of course dragging frozen water around your paint would mark it. Warm or even cool water would be best.

i clear mine with a watering can filled with warm tap water and the sprinkler head thingy..
takes the snow right off and leaves no marks.

Dad taught me that yonks ago :)

I cleared mine off twice    dread looking at it after a good wash but surley as the snow melts large pieces will slide off anyway

are we talking deep scratches or the type that will polish out by hand ?

Im more worried about all the crap that gets thrown up from other cars, must of picked up 5 new chips on my windscreen over the past week.

Very true and all the salt from the roads underneath the car

Same - I've been keeping a good distance even on clear roads due to the amount of grit thrown up.

Im about to buy a Pressure washer attachement for doing under the car... I dont think it would be an issure if we had a fair bit of rain to wash the salt away but better to be safe than sorry.

Haven't used mine while the snow's been here. Will be out at the weekend if the weather is OK. She's turning into a bit of a garage queen
