Scratches On Leather Seats

After getting back from Le Mans I noticed my passenger seat had some scratches. I found some bits of broken button on the seat so have a feeling it was the passengers shorts.

Anyone ever had any luck repairing scratched leather?

 
I'd like to know too...have some scratches on my cream leather.....

Just when I'm thinking of selling (to get an Elise) the window regulator goes, dent in front wing (looks like from a football) and now this!
 
I did the same thing with my shorts - the day i bought the zed!!

iv bought some AG leather cleaner and care balm, but the scratch is still there....

what i have done previously on my scuffed / worn black leather seats is to use black shoe polish (kwiw parade gloss) - make sure to buff it off properly though, it will fill any cracks and fix discolouration plus protects the leather! easy fix!


someone else on here used a marker pen to hide the scratches too.

luiquid leather ,,,,,,,,,,,, :thumbsup: does the job . take your time and follow the instructions . the first time I tried it I rushed the job and ended up with it to thick and peeling, looks great now tho'
 
Does anyone know which colour I need from Liquid Leather for a 2004 Z4 with just the standard black leather inside?
 
USe their standard black mate. They include a toner and dye in the kit to make it darker or lighter if needed.
 
leatherique is hands down the best product for restoring your leather. I can't recommend any other product more than this stuff. check out their website for samples of customer restoration projects. I've used this on all my family's BMW's (6 in total), and one Jaguar... always fantastic results. Especially useful if you find the leather on your seats are starting to get too firm (are drying out).

I've also ordered the Scuffmaster kit from Liquid Leather to clear up wear on the driver's seat bolster.

Once I've done that and the wheels the car will look almost new.
 
Have to say regarding the Scuffmaster treatment - the pics on this site and others really don't lie.

Dabbed on a little of the black dye using the provided sponge, and gently rubbed over it a few times to remove the excess and then left it over night.

Came back the next day to give it a little more, think "well, that looks better" and started to add a little more dye, only to realise when I've finished that I was treating a completely different, smaller scuff - the Scuffmaster treatment had done such a good job I'd completely missed the bit I'd treated the day before!
