Scratch on front bumper

Hi guys, I don't know what happened exactly, maybe it was a ramp but today I realised to have this scratch on the car ... Is nothing serious but I am very upset about it, where I leave is full of low step everywhere so I don't know if was my fault

What can I do to mitigate the situation without a body shop?

Thanks in advance!

Well, to avoid a body shop you’ll have to paint it yourself.
It looks like you can mask it off on that crease, then flat it off with wet sandpaper. Companies like Paint Factory can supply aerosol paint that exactly matches the paint code for the car.
Good luck.

No expert but looks more like the black is a deposit on the bumper from whatever it was you hit. Have you just tried machine polishing it?

Yes as above, if it’s black deposit of something then that will probably come off even by hand, without much worry about the finish being where it is.

If the black is the plastic underneath, I’d get a smart repair done on that, again because it’s not in the middle of a panel or eyeline at all, and would maintain the rest of your bumper being factory finish.

Hi everyone, thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, it's the black plastic underneath that's affected. So, I'm looking for one of those touch-up kits. Since the damage isn't visible when standing, I'd prefer to use a brush rather than spray paint.

Any suggestions on a good brand to use?

Don’t mean to sound arsey but if you can afford a G29 can you not afford a smart repair that’ll be good as new rather than a dogs dinner brush job which is what it’ll be…?

Painting isn't easy. Painting it on with a brush will give a poor finish that you will still notice.

Get a smart repair done and you'll never notice it.

My Z4 is 17 years old and I wouldn't subject it to that! My 18 year old Cat N 3 Series maybe!
