some photos of the day Perth-Inverurie- Alford-Almost Braemar

A misty start Perth

This space was the view from Cainey mount

In a clearing almost at Braemar

Great photos John - really capture the spirit of the day.

Cainey Mount photo is a little over exposed 'cos I'm sure I saw a boundary fence ay least once in the mist.

Nice last shot too.

(Really enjoyed our search for the Motor Museum - what a great section of road that loop was - never knew being lost could be so enjoyable!)

:driving:

John, some great shots - well done, beats the two photos that I took

I hope to get a video up tonight from the car cam

Nice to see us featured on the Fennel site - magic!
Very relaxed after our weekend away - as I said on my last post - what sensational roads - you are so lucky to have them and not too busy (especially early in the day and this time of year). Terrific highlights one after another and I'm sure there are some wonderful views once the mist lifts. The lunch stop was tip top (apart from the anxiety of us all watching from the top window whilst mums and toddlers came and left - parking next to my Zed  caused some indigestion but all was well when I returned - thank goodness and everyone had a (nervous) laugh and cheer at my vulnerable Zed).
Having lost two forumites on the way to lunch, three of us didn't see the route away from lunch but thanks Craig and John - we had a fabulous detour - another highlight!
The standard of driving was the usual safe progress and I'd highly recommend the effort involved in joining one of the Scottish runs - well worth the journey and excellent company. Thanks to all involved and especially Adamski and ZermattV - terrific!

Apologies for the quality of some of the shots:

Had a great day, great to put faces to the names! You guys put the GTR guys to shame when it comes to setting the pace! My first real blast in my 2.0, very capable. Sorry about the lack of sunshine guys, I did book it but I think I must have had the map upside down at the time! Thanks Adam and Zermatt, here's to the next one. Hers a mod for you, I'm gonna remove the bulb on that stupid yellow light that keeps flashing at me on the dash whenever I speed round a corner......it's too distracting!

Nice one Geezah - great to see you there and loved your seats! Nice to meet you and your other half.

:driving:

paulgs1000 Good photos especially moody going over cairn`o mount. Obviously a better camera as perth start looks bright and sharp, my shot using the camera phone does give it the doom and gloom we actually had. Glad you made you epic journey safe and sound and hope to see you on future hoons.
John

Take a closer look John - ours was just with a Galaxy S2 phone too - the focus is poor - did crop a lot though.

Great to see you again too and I'll not forget that circuit you led getting back in touch with the group - magic!

Paul

Great day out today - great to see some new faces along for the run and fantastic to meet up with everyone after the winter - here are my highlights

1. The Batmobile - Adam's new Coupe looking very mean in the misty conditions
2. That fantastic Red 911 1980s turbo outside Fennel
3. The Great Colour of Paul and Steph's new Roadster
4. Taking the Z4 Crew down some of my local roads
5. For Metal Licker - Getting in to see the first Goal go In - as the Shirt's said "seeing is believing "

no.3 - much appreciated - thank you ZermattV. Quite a few commented on the colour - perhaps I've misjudged it. . .we shall see.

Paul :driving:

Great looking roads there, I do envy you those and how clear they are. Had some fantastic runs on the Scottish Z4 meets in the past

Was a great run out...thanks to Adam for organising and for leading (along with Rob), some great routes

Good to see everyone , all the Scottish forumites and also Allan & his wife and Paul & Steph ,all travelling up from England....good to see you all again  :driving:

A great first meet, and a total of around 420 miles for me inc to and from Perth; my car is really in need of another wash now, ha-ha.

Highlights were the Braemer/Blairgowrie blasts...got upto some nice speeds, and the cars just so fluid at speed round the bends.
Loved Adams new M Coupe, very nice :D
Also Paul n Stephs new 3.0i and Geezahs 2-tone seats...all very smart

Great to see you all again, and heres to the next one :driving:

Yeah, the look on your face was priceless Paul, when that woman and her child were getting in/out of their car a few times, not caring about hitting yours; good thing she had rubber door-protection mouldings and your car was dent-free.

Also, not sure if we took the right road after lunch, but was a good blast for sure :D

Here's a few videos taken from my dash cam which capture the day rather nicely :D

Love the music choice!

Just away to collect my dash-cam from the post office - missed the delivery. Need to get a memory card 32g

Then it's into the handbook to see what can be done - We shall see. . .

Thanks for posting - just spent the morning watching them through - I remember the smoke!
