Gald you like the wheels, I do too :) .

As the trip progressed they got more and more dirty with brake dust etc, so don't really look their best in the pics. Being gloss black doesn't help either. Like anything black they look fantastic when polished up 8)

Tuesday - Portree (Skye) to Tarbert (Isle of Harris) 192 miles

It's a damp morning as we head north from Portree to the ferry at Uig Bay

We aim to please :)

Harris and Lewis are basically the same island, mountainous in the south (Harris) and flatter in the north (Lewis), and form part of the Outer Hebrides.

We went to Stornoway (the capital of Lewis) for lunch, but to be honest there was little to see. Decided to head to the most northerly tip and the Butt of Lewis

It was getting dark by the time we got back to the B&B, so after a quick change we had a short drive to Tarbert for dinner and to watch the Utd game in the bar. Another busy day. In the end it was Harris  , Lewis

Wednesday - Tarbert (Harris) to Arisaig - 98 miles

More of a relaxing day today. Saying that, we had to skip breakfast and be at the ferry terminal at 06:50

Wow great road trip as usual. My dad lived in Stornoway for a while, I learnt to drive there in a Transit van

Did you go to the mini-Stonehenge at Callanish? Not much else to see I suppose, it's very bleak.

These are the ones at Calanais

We didn't stop as we found Lewis to be quite dull really, much like Orkney. No regrets about going tho, sometimes you've just got to check these places out, and see for yourself.

Bet it's a great place to learn to drive, especially in a Tranny :o
