Scottish Gas .....

I don't know if this is UK or just Scotland, but we have a new law here that charges around £100 a year for having a gas supply ...... whether you use it ir not ......

We converted 2 properties into one some years ago and had the gas supply to one removed and capped.
There is apparantly a meter out there somewhere, not even on our property .... for which we now have to pay.
They want 400 quid to remove this meter ......

just surfing around and seeing that there are thousands of similar cases ....

How do you fight against stuff like this :D :) :D

Don't have gas unfortunately but I do have in my property a white meter which is no longer used due to changes made to make the property more 'efficient' (offset the Z'd and the Jap cars) but still I am restricted to tariffs and I am charged a daily fee for the meter which is no longer active.

I've enquired re having it taken out but it's like you a stupid amount plus it's right at the top of the wall behind the water tank, which was the original placement for it (not sure what bright spark thought of that) so it will take some getting too. Just an absolute joke. Anyway to make money.

Are you two going to vote for us to be independent from you?

That's already been answered in some other threads. I will be voting as it's my right to do so and can't have an opinion or moan about the outcome if I don't but my answer to the proposed question will be No

Surprisingly honest. Apologies for winding you up.

Well it's quite a big game changer for the whole country and something I honestly don't think we need but hopefully enough sensible people will vote to keep things as is and life can move on. Far, far too many uncertainties and as much as a general election is a big deal.....this is bigger as thousands of people could be made unemployed if businesses decide to pull out.

I do sometime take the bait

Well Im not sure Im allowed to have an opinion ......

1). Im english
2). Im married

I think an independent Scotland would be wonderful ....... unfortunately there are no politicians in Scotland capable of getting it right ........ Herr Salmond fir example is, in my opinion, a fat pompous git :D

So given a vote it would have be, stay with the evil you know
