Scottish Borders run/meet, SUNDAY 21ST MAY 2017

Another great day Craig, many thanks for organising!
Also had great weather on the way back, top down all the way back up the A701 and a bit of fun with an X5 trying to keep me behind him! :D :driving:
Car was filthy when I got back but it's all shiny again now!

Didn't take many photos today, too much driving and chatting!

The 85 with red roof :? "Ben g" a long way from home ? :?

This is Parapetes zed,
It did indeed used to be Jaxz4, which was the first forum z to have a red roof retro fitted, as far as I am aware,
and years before Jonny Essex,Beng,etc.

It does look great against the Grey bodywork.

Got home at 19:30. Cup of tea and feet up now though :)

Great days driving on new roads for me again. The last two meets have been great in that respect. Again thanks to Craig for putting the time in and organising.

The last run to Moffat from Selkirk was the best for me but we were really lucky with almost no traffic all day. :driving:

I didn't really notice the few showers!! :D

Not got many pics but here they are.

Glad you enjoyed it,Gary....good to see you as always mate  :driving:

The weather back in April's meet was noticeably warmer, lol.
British summer time in the Borders, haha

Sorry guys was on route and these s*dding codes are back and left my phone in the house. Am sure I must be jinxed on one of your meets Craig. Back to the garage I go tomorrow. :headbang:

Maybe next time.....
Funny enough my brake pad warning light came on when going home.
New pads or faulty sensor going by previous experience with my black zed,and the wifes125 coupe, these BM,s do have a habit of having faulty sensors.
Thankfully not an expensive fix usually.

Hope you get your warning light issues sorted

Can't believe you washed your car when you got home, lol.
Mine is manky too,but will have to wait until tomorrow/later in the week as I have a Tiguan to wash too!!
I am absolutely knackered, but happy at the same time..was a great day and thanks again to all who came, nice to see you all :D :driving:

No,Andy,Jack only sold it about 2 years ago, when he jumped ship to a Porsche.
So not too long ago.
It has also got the BMW badges in graphite/carbon effect with red propeller details to match the red roof, etc

Thanks for yesterday Craig. Very enjoyable, great roads and the weather 'spiced' things up a bit too ! My lad Tyler's first Zed outing and he really enjoyed it also...as did a few of his mates via 'social media' ! We've got a few photos from the day between the two of us so will post them as soon as I get chance. Nice to see everybody yesterday and thanks again Craig.

Thanks for another great day out Craig. Different roads, different weather, good workout for the roof motors. Also went home via A701 caught up with an old MG midget that was being peddled fairly hard.
I see my car is fairly well known, within the forum, for it red roof. Have not not done much too it since buying it, like it as it is.

Just like to say a big thanks to Craig for a great day out, we had a great time. See you in a few weeks at the national for a bit more :driving: .

Nice to see you and meet your son,Simon.
Glad you both enjoyed the run,and see you at the National, finally, lol.

It was a bit wet once or twice, but we did manage to get the roofs down most of the time.
See you soon :driving:

Glad you liked it,Pete.....good to see you again.
Yeah, those e types, tvr's etc that came into the carpark in the afternoon stop were nice to see

Yes,it was on the forum for a good few years with its previous owner, and was one of the few with a grey roof, before being swapped over to a red roof, which was a forum first at the time, and came on many meets, including some that jack organised.

There are a few cars on here that have changed hands between members,or those who buy them have joined as a result.

See you at the next one :driving:

Good to see you and Nicola,Laine.

The new car is very nice....is it one you are going to still have at next year's meets, lol??
Nice of you to make the journey, and as with Brian g, surprised it's your first Scottish meet. Hopefully not your last :driving:

Hope you had a good journey home.
See you again at the National, mate

Those TVRs and E types went up to Fort William. One of the stags is under a cover as it broke down

Passed them on my way to work this morning.
